October - Our Eco Activities

🌱 1. Collaborative Eco-Code

As part of European Code Week, we took part in the exciting challenge "Coding in Hexadecimal with Eco Heroes". Together with our partners, we encoded and decoded letters, learning how coding can be fun and creative while promoting eco-awareness.

💡 2. Second Eco-Challenge: “Save Energy – Save the Planet”

We watched inspiring videos and discussed practical ways to save energy in our daily lives. Then, we created our own short video full of tips and ideas to help protect our planet while making energy-saving simple and fun!

🌳 3. World Tree Day (October 10th)

On World Tree Day, we learned about Cyprus' national tree, the Golden oak (Latzia). Inspired, we created our very own Tree of Promises on the school board, writing down pledges to protect and care for trees. Together with our partners, we built a collaborative tree full of hopes and commitments for a greener future.

💻🌍🎶 4. Student Meeting & Erasmus Days

We joined our eTwinning partners from the project “Eco Heroes: Little Actions, Big Impact” in an inspiring online meeting. Students connected across Europe and sang “We Are the World” — a beautiful symbol of unity, hope, and European values such as respect, freedom, democracy, equality, justice, and human rights. This special activity was part of our Erasmus Days celebrations, highlighting collaboration and global awareness.
